Jackie is an Oregon native who has over 15 years of veterinary reception and client care experience. She has worked in both emergency and small animal practices, but has always wanted to learn more about the specialty of exotic animal medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Oregon State University, and she also spent a year at Oregon Coast Community College where she earned a Certificate in Aquarium Science and participated in various volunteer and internship opportunities involving marine and freshwater fish and invertebrates. She absolutely loves being in a profession where she gets to help pets and their humans, and she has a great passion for all varieties of animal health and medicine. Her current pet family consists of one dog, a cat and two betta fish. She is very excited to start this new adventure with AEVC!
